    Henry Sits!

Henry sat up unassisted last night. Only one week behind his sister. It's difficult to get him sitting because he loves to stand up and he won't bend his legs when you try to put him in a sitting position.

Soon, they will be fighting over toys and throwing them at each other!

    Libby Sits!

Libby sat up this evening all by herself! She lasted for a minute before toppling to the side. I even had time to get it on film.

    Happy 6th Months Today!

We celebrated with a new food: yougurt. The verdict is out on whether or not it's a hit -- we did get lots of funny looks. "What is this?...it's tangy....not as good as sweet potatoes...."

In the past few days, Libby has started to babble "mommy" too. But today, while Stephen was feeding her, she said, "dada." Libby has also developed the best raspberry blowing technique we've seen yet.

Libby went to the pediatrician on Tuesday to make sure she didn't have an ear infection (she didn't), but we think they are both teething because it's a full time fuss factory around here.

Libby weighs 21lbs...97 percentile! Definitely above average, our Libster.

Despite our issues with naps lately (i.e., they don't want to take them), the babies couldn't be cuter. They are both starting to grow more hair. They put everything in their mouth and both of them have the pincher grasp down pat. We are finally getting some use out of toys we got for them at baby showers (although, they prefer mom and dad to toys). Henry especially likes his bouncy seat which he pilots for maximum bounce. Libby prefers to sit on Daddy's lap and put her fingers in his mouth and up his nose.

They are eating avacados, sweet potatos, pears, peaches, and now yougurt. We'll be adding mango and green beans to the mix soon. Also, we're going to try homemade porridge made with brown rice and oatmeal. Two meals a day right now and still about 36 oz of formula (4 bottles a day).

We shoot for 3 naps a day -- one midmorning, one mid-afternoon, and one early evening. Baths each night and bedtime is usually around 8:30 or 9:00. They sleep until 7:30 or 8AM.

6 months have gone by so quickly, just like everyone said it would. Last July, we were sure that they were lying about time passing quickly -- but as they get older and more managable, they are so much fun!
