High Jinx
We've decided that the twins have us outnumbered. To prove this, we share with you our outrageous day yesterday:
1. While taking the kids to the library and unloading Libby from the car, Libby becomes an object of interest to two dogs in a nearby car who escape the vehicle and run toward her. In response, Libby rolls into the gutter scraping off the top layer of skin on her forehead. Libby is upset, but not seriously hurt. Mere flesh wounds.
2. On their way out of the library, Henry falls face first on a step stool bruising his nose (which is covered with dried on snot and boogers from the cold he has). No serious damage either, but one upset Henry. The librarians at the front desk heard him howling from the basement.
3. Upon opening the door to their room after their nap, Stephen finds Henry in Libby's crib (with Libby), jumping on her back as she lays in the crib, both giggling hysterically.
4. After getting in the bathtub, Henry becomes upset for no reason and starts crying and demanding to be removed from the tub.
Is this a cry for help or just the typical high jinx that parents of twins experience?Comments:Add a comment:

We're talking!
Lots of new words being said around the house. Mostly gibberish, but we are hearing the following:
Henry says "ball", "bath", "hi!"
Libby says "bath" "hi dad" "momma"
Our favorite daily scene is just after dinner when we ask them "what time is it? " and they both yell "BATH" and run down the hallway screaming!
They also understand a lot of what we say. They understand the concept of going out and putting on shoes and coats (it's Michigan). They love their daily outings to the park or to the library.
We're down to one nap a day now and we're working to tweak the nap time so that they aren't so tired in the late afternoon. Happy babies...they're growing up so incredibly fast.Comments:Add a comment:
